IP/IT Law and Digital Business – Legal Support

We provide legal services in technology, artificial intelligence (AI), IT outsourcing, software law and intellectual property.

As a law firm that specializes in areas of fintech and digitalization of financial services we regularly provide legal services in ICT law and intellectual property law (IP). Digitalization and IT are playing an increasingly important role in the financial sector and the costs of technical infrastructure and software are one of the most significant components of a company’s expenses. We understand this fact.

Our attorneys are acquainted with basic systems, with which financial institutions and clients work with, including the possibility of cloud storage and systems for the purpose of data saving and management.

Based on our extensive experience and good communication with the Czech National Bank within licencing and other proceedings, we have a comprehensive understanding on how to set contract arrangements with the IT providers and other technical outsourcers, so that all the necessary legal requirements and their interpretations by the regulators are met. We also assist clients in the selection of an ideal provider of IT solutions and technical infrastructure.

Our legal services include:

  • Outsourcing IT – We assist the providers of financial services when undertaking IT outsourcing. These services in particular consist of adjusting internal processes as well as preparing internal regulation and agreements on providing outsourcing, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Cloud and data storages – Whether you choose Google cloud, AWS or any other provider of cloud services we can assist you on how to correctly set internal processes regarding the saving of data and prepare contractual and other documents based on the requirements of the Czech National Bank.
  • Digital contracting – We provide comprehensive advice in connection with the adjustment of closing contracts online including the digital onboarding of customers. This advice is all provided with the consideration of AML requirements on identification and due diligence of the customers.
  • Licence agreements – We prepare licence agreements for software products for the purpose of their final use or in connection with the transfer of intellectual property rights to the software as a part of the transaction.
  • Trademarks – We assist with the selection of trademarks and their comparison with already registered trademarks. We also assist with the registration of trademarks on the Czech and European market.
