Czech National Banks Licences

We specialize in the processing of all authorizations, licenses or registrations at the CNB. Licensing proceedings at the CNB is one of the key domains of our office.

We excel in licensing proceedings. Our proactive and individualised approach has succeeded in significantly reducing the length of the licensing proceeding itself and acquiring authorizations for clients in a timeframe that is appreciated by our competitors. We are pioneers in new types of licenses, where the lack of practice and established interpretation of new requirements makes the licensing proceeding particularly challenging. In 2018, we helped Spendee to acquire the first ever PSD2 license in the country. We then secured the first license under the crowdfunding regulation for the client (Investown) in 2023.

We focus on careful setup of the client’s internal processes, preparation of all application documents, as well as a proactive approach towards the CNB throughout the licensing proceedings. We have a detailed understanding of regulatory requirements and legislation, as well as procedures, unwritten practices and current CNB interpretations, which we have often helped form.

We assist you through the entire licensing proceeding, help you develop a business plan, assess management requirements, prepare all internal policies and other documents accompanying the application. Throughout the licensing proceedings, we actively communicate with the CNB and in cooperation with you we ensure that the information and documents are completed as requested by the CNB.

Schedule an initial meeting with us to discuss the need for a CNB license and the next steps you should take.
