FINREG PARTNERS assisted Fondee in obtaining a new licence from the Czech National Bank (CNB), officially establishing Fondee as an “investment firm.”
The client successfully completed the licensing process with our support in approximately seven months. Given the complexity of the process, the satisfaction of achieving a successful outcome, particularly one that benefits the client, is especially rewarding.
The client also discussed the successful procedure and the acquisition of the CNB licence in an interview with Seznam Zprávy.

Eva and Jan Hlavsa were successful managers in the City of London financial centre. A few years ago, they returned to the Czech Republic to set up Fondee, an online platform for simple investing. After four years, they managed to turn the startup into an investment firm. This week, they received the relevant licence from the Czech National Bank.
The couple plans to use this licence to expand their product offerings, simplify account opening, and extend their operations across borders.
“We want to teach Czechs that if they invest in a diversified portfolio, they don’t have to worry about the performance of individual stocks, bonds, or entire markets, because we spread their money across the entire spectrum,” says Jan Hlavsa, co-founder of Fondee.
