We Have Successfully Registered Another Sub-Limited Operator

In a special proceeding before the Czech National Bank, we successfully assisted a client, who is not based in a Member State of the European Union, in obtaining a permit to market investments in a foreign investment fund. Notably, this client was a sub-limit manager, meaning they were operating outside the scope of AIFMD regulation.

These proceedings, conducted pursuant to Section 324 et seq. of the Act on Management Companies and Investment Funds, are highly specific, requiring both precision and a comprehensive understanding of investment fund management. This area is a key specialisation of FINREG PARTNERS, where both Ondřej Mikula and Jan Šovar bring many years of practical experience. Under the leadership of Jan Šovar, the Act on Management Companies and Investment Funds was drafted during his tenure at the Ministry of Finance. Furthermore, both Jan Šovar and Ondřej Mikula are co-authors of the only commentary on this law that has been published in the Czech market.
