Privacy policy (GDPR)

We provide legal services in the area of privacy protection for financial institutions and non-regulated entities.

The issue of privacy protection is inextricably linked with the provision of financial services, whether it is concerning a financial institution, investment fund or fintech startup. This is one of the reasons our law firm closely follows the impact of privacy protection on financial servicesin the long run. Our attorneys provide advice in the area of relevant legislation regarding personal
data protection with emphasis on GDPR with respect to standards that are applied in the financial sector in the Czech Republic.

Violation of privacy protection rules can not only lead to considerable sanctions but also to immense reputational damage and severed trust from the client customers, for this reason it is an area crucial for any provider of financial services. We place special emphasis on the issue of privacy protection in all our legal services, whether we are providing our clients with regulatory
or general advice.

Our legal services include:

GDPR audit – We assess the regulatory basis and other necessary documents in the area of GDPR and personal data protection as well as assess their compliance with the requirements arising from current legislation.

DPO services – We provide external services as the person responsible for privacy protection (DPO).

Preparation of internal regulation and documentation – We prepare internal regulation and all other necessary documentation (including information memoranda and agreements on consents for the processing of personal data) for privacy protection. These items are tailored for the relevant financial institution or other applicable entities.

GDPR and financial intermediaries – We evaluate the fulfilment of requirements of privacy protection from the point of view of investment intermediaries, insurance intermediaries, introducing brokers and other advisors and propose ideal contract arrangements. We also advise on the process on how to transfer a customer base ensuring that all requirements
according to GDPR and other regulations are met.
